I was wondering how many of you put sincerely [name] at the end of your personal statement. The actually "sincerely" is not my question, but the amount of character space used to add the closing remark. My personal statement is pretty strong, but I am few characters high. Should this be a must have?

I don´t recall writing a ¨Sincerely my name¨ or anything similar at the end. Personally I think they assume your sincerity, and probably don´t need to see your name there, they know who´s writing before they even read it.

Perhaps I´m way off or remembering incorrectly, please don´t take my comment for fact. 🙂

I'm not doing any type of closing remark like that. If I had a ton of characters left, I would consider it, but since you're over (and I'm right at 4,497... haha) I wouldn't sweat it!

I agree with both of you. I pretty sure it doesn't need it, but I didn't want to be that 'bone-head' who didn't close the personal statement right!
