I just recieved an interview invite to SIU. Does anyone have statistics on how many people the school interviews? When I recieved my supplemental, I remember it said that after my file was complete, I will be invited for an interview. Do they just invite all who complete the secondary? Has anyone interviewed yet there for this year?

From the MSAR and the US News rankings, SIU receives about 1150 applicants (827 in-state and 312 out-of-state). They granted interviews to 277 of the in-state applicants and 5 of the out-of-state and accepted 146 of the in-state applicants and 2 of the out-of-state. 72 people enrolled at SIU this year, none of them were from out-of-state.

As far as the secondary goes, I don't know if they only offer it to people they are going to invite. My secondary said that I would be granted an interview when I completed it as well. I interviewed at the Springfield campus on Sept 24, but still have yet to hear from them if I have been accepted or not. Good luck on your interview!

interviews are based in primary applications only. Your secondary app is more or less part of ur interview, this is from the horses mouth.

I just interviewed at SIU Springfield on the 18th of October. The previous poster is correct in that the secondary is pretty much part of the interview and seems to not make much of a difference in whether you are offered an interview. On the interview feedback section of SDN I posted my experience (it's the date of 10/18/04).
