Any opinions out there? St.James versus St.Martinus?
Bonaire population 15,000, Curacao population 140,000.
Many more clinical options with St.Martinus, however I have been more impressed with SJSM's approach so far.
SJSM seems to be a little more thorough with their admissions (unless they just lost mine, and it took FOREVER ... not to mention the whole interview process).
I also was pretty shocked that St. Martinus spelled the word 'university' wrong 4 times on their main web site under 'hospital affiliations'???
I know it shouldn't really matter (when you consider how much we are paying in total), but SJSM is approx. $50,000 US less. However I will be 40 when I am finished med school - and paying back $50,000 US less at that age (actually older if you calculate residency) makes a huge difference.
I wasn't expecting to get a call from SJSM today, so if anyone has any input about this decision, I'd appreciate it! 😕 Thanks!
