I noticed that Cliff's doesn't have anything regarding these two topics. I've heard that it is found frequently in Destroyer, so I'm wondering just how much of these systems we have to know? I assume osteoblasts/cytes/clasts are important, but is that sufficient for the skeletal system? And what about the integumentary system? I think anything other than knowing the layers of the epidermis is overkill. What do you guys think?

Did those of you that have taken the DAT get a question or two regarding these systems?

You are bound to come across it at some point in undergrad (assuming you are gonna take A&P) or in dental school; why not learn it now? Chip at it a little each day. Watch take some notes one day, watch a video the next day, and do some practice questions another day while referring back to you notes. If you are planning to do qvault, they show up on there more than you'd expect given what Cliffs encompasses. In the end, its gonna be about priorities and what you currently feel you need focus your attentions to.

I've actually taken anatomy but don't remember every single little detail. There's so much information we have to shove in our heads for this exam so if I'm not required to learn something at this point, I don't want to spend time learning it. I'll read over it a few times but when it comes down to knowing the cells of the epidermis and stuff like that, that's where prioritizing comes into play. 😉 Thanks for the advice.

Questions on these sections have shown up on the test. I covered skin and skeletal in my notes which you can find on the Bootcamp website, I remember it was one of the areas I had to look at in sources outside of the standard Cliff's stuff.
