So I was looking at the SKMC site, and they said that in the absence of committee letters (my school does not do this), they "prefer one biology, one chemistry, one physics and one humanities." However, in the next FAQ, it mentions "Are exemptions made on the required letters of recommendation?", which means that it is not "preferred", but instead "required". In that FAQ of exemptions, they note that we should put the exemption request in the optional secondary. I don't have one of the science LOR that they want, how would you recommend I go about writing my exemption request?

Any ideas on how I can go about writing this exemption? Should I just list the LOR I do have and the ones I don't with their replaced letters (replacing X subject with Y subject), or do I need to explain why I don't have one of their specific "preferred" letter?

Check out the SKMC school specific threads - - many people report having no trouble without having a letter from all the requirements, but I didn't catch anyone saying they explained it in the secondary.
