The really nice ones are ridiculously expensive! Doesn't your school have a learning resource center where they keep a bunch of models that you can check out? I spent a lot of time in there taking apart the pelvic and skull models.

your school has a model you can take apart?? We only have the real skulls- but I have been asking for two years where I could look at a disarticulated skull model. I think it would make the 3D appearance of the skull make more sense
I had to buy one for drawing classes in undergrad and I bought a fairly decent one I think it was 60 dollars or so...and it is still really inaccurate. It seems to me that all the models suck except the real skulls. I wouldn't bother.
We get a full set of bones between three of us, as far as I know only the hand and foot are articulated. Surely you can get hold of a real one from somewhere?
our school gave us a bone box and two real skulls for each 3 of us... are you sure you've asked around to make sure something like that isn't offered at your school?
