SLE--Type II or III hypersensitivity?

FA has SLE listed as type III. However, I read somewhere (possible UW) that the HEMATOLOGIC manifestations of SLE, which include anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, are mediated by antibodies against these cells, which is a type II hypersensitivity. So is it both? Much in the same way hypersensitivity pneumonitis is a type III/IV reaction? On a test, if you had to choose, would you still pick type III?
 
If you are asked generally. Pick type III.

Yes. The Anemia, Leukopenia, Thrombocytopenia is Type II.

SLE is more often characterized by all the features of a type III, Vasculitis, nephritis, arthritis.

All of those diseases in FA actually cover a spectrum, and don't very often fit in one category alone. But those are the classical presentations.

Even if you never knew SLE could be associated with type II. If they asked you on a test, this person has SLE, they are producing an antibody against their RBCs causing an anemia, what kind of Hypersensitity reaction does this characterize? You wouldn't pick type III, unless your dead set on SLE = III regardless of information presented by the question. (Ignoring even theoreticals)

I guess you're right, if they said antibody was being produced against RBCs. But more likely:

Presentation of SLE.
Lab results showing mild anemia.
Question: what is the cause for this patient's hematological abnormality? (not even saying anemia)
choices: Type I, II, III, IV.

My scenario is plausible, at least. But thanks for your input, it was helpful.
