Sleep deprivation and MCAT performance

Took AAMC 11 with 3 hours of sleep in 48 hours...score was PS:15, VR13, BS15.
Took AAMC 10 with 10 full hours of sleep a few days before: PS14,VR12,BS13.

Get some coffee, that's all. Being sleeper deprived is something you should get used to if you're going into med school. Some people perform their best when they've had no sleep. It is relative to the person, if you get 4-6hrs of sleep a day and are used to it, sleep deprivation isn't an issue

correlation does not entail causation.

especially since aamc 10 and 11 are different exams, you can't really say that because you're sleep deprived you did better on 11. (i know you didn't "claim" this, but i am just trying to make sure other ppl realize that)

I took it back on 7-29 on about 4 hours of sleep or so ( but I did dream; REM sleep). Walking out of the test center I felt like I had scored a 28. Now my AAMC practice test average was a 32. My final score ended up being a 32. Just relax, no sense in worrying about it now.

It doesn't matter how well others work while sleep deprived. What's important is how well YOU work while sleep deprived. Nevertheless, keep in mind that most people feel horrible after their test and do well. Yes, that includes people that get 35+.
