I am sending out my med school transcript now and it contains the remaining courses that I am registered for this year. can anything happen to me if I register for alot of "impressive" electives and then drop them once transcript is uploaded. specifically will the program that I match at want to see my complete med school transcript and wonder where those courses went ?

I don't even understand how this could happen. First of all, the med school is the one that mails out the transcript. The transcript only includes courses you have already taken and received grades for. It doesn't show courses you haven't even taken yet.

my transcript has the fall 2012 and spring 2013 classes listed on it

Uhmmm...why bother going to the trouble of registering for "impressive" electives and then cancelling them in favor of spending 5 months doing underwater basket weaving?

1) no one cares what you're doing with the remainder of your final year
2) if anyone caught whiff of what you were doing, you'd look like a major DB which would make people care

Sounds like a dumb plan to me.
