Hello guys , I am currently a 3rd year student at Comenius University of Bratislava and last year I took the Imat exam so I could get into an English-Speaking program of Medicine in Italy ! I've been accepted at Tor Vergata university of Rome and now I really don't know what to do ( Is it possible to transfer from Tor vergata to another Italian University like Pavia / Sapienza / Milan ?) . If we compare the 2 universities according to excellence / prestige which one do you think is the best choice ? Generally Italy is a better to place to live in my opinion but I am really not sure about what to do ! Write some opinions please ! I would really appreciate your help!

Thank you very much !

Good luck with your choice but i don't recommend transferring more than once. It looks bad on your resume. Italy is a better place to live for sure, but what are your goals after you graduate? Where do you want to practice and where are you from citizenship wise?

I am Greek ( I was studying Chemical Engineering in Greece but I didn't like it ) , and I didn't transfer at all! I started Medicine at Comenius University before 3 years and I wanted to go somewhere better so I chose Italy ! My question is based on the fact that Italy will have a positive impact ( at least more than Slovakia ) on my resume ! Is that True ? Is Tor vergata a better choice than Comenius ? What do you recommend ?!

Edit#1 : I want to practice in the best possible choice the year that I will finish med. school, Germany , Switzerland , Sweden , Uk . ( might even try to go to the US )

Hmm. You are EU citizen, so maybe if you want to transfer its ok. It might help, I think Italy does look better than Slovakia on your resume. I don't think going to the US will be easy though, just letting you know.

The reason I said transferring twice was bad was because you mentioned transferring to Milan, Sapienza etc after you transfer to Tor Vergata.

I'm not sure but I think you can't transfer directly from Tor Vergata to others Universities
I think you should apply again in the new university

I would seriously not recommend Comenius, the study department which deals with foreign students ( i.e english programme) are unprofessional, and do not even speak good enough English to communicate.

I'm an Italian Student and Tor Vergata is a really good choice. Rome is a good city to live in. I don't know if the english course is good but here in my university (Naples) is pretty good so I think that in Tor Vergata will be even better!

There are 2 more faculties in Slovakia: Martin and Kosice 🙂 In Martin, you can meet plenty of Norwegian students (they even have their own team in handball competition), in Kosice you can meet 40 nationalities 🙂 Here you can ask some of them directly 🙂
