Slow death in the OR

It's been a long time since I've been to this forum, so i thought I'd stop by and see what's new. Actually, I'm bored outta my mind and about to shove a 17ga Touhy through my eye.
75 yo M, complicated history (not really relevant), with carotid stenosis, having an angiogram and stent placement through the groin. Precedex running at 0.3 mcg/kg/hr, since pt needs to follow commands for shooting images. We are now 4 hrs into the case, no closer to deploying the stent in a proper place. In fact, the surgeon has even stated "we are worse off now than when we started!"

For Gods sake, its Friday. Some body end my misery... 😱

im surprised you even get to run precedex. we couldnt do these with anything except normal saline infusions...titrated to effect.

My first guess was going to be the robot room. Angio suite is a close second.

Agreed. Especially since those damn rooms were clearly not designed with anesthesia in mind.
