small ochem question

for dental school prereq's, i know i have to take the 2nd semester of ochem, no problem with that i like ochem if i didn't want to be a dentist i would go into chemistry, but my question is do i need to take the 2nd ochem lab, not that i mind lab its easy but its a freaking 6 hour lab and im just no eager to jump into that. any help would be great, i've looked online at the dental school websites, but it seems vauge on the topic.

any help is great

It depends on the schools you're looking at. Some require you to have two semesters of Ochem with lab and 8 credit hours. A lot of others are fine with just 6 credit hours and no lab. If i knew what schools you were looking at i may be able to help you more, but a good resource is the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools, other than that you just have to look at their website and call them.

Suck it up, take the lab, don't limit yourself.

just take it during the summer or something, that way you can cram more credits in and not have to worry about a long lab.. ochem lab is kinda fun but it is long :O
 
Yeah, I would take it. The Ochem labs are long, but they are the most fun, and if you plan ahead you get out of there way before the actual alotted time of the lab. This lab is way better than the analytical chem labs. Plus, if you don't get into dental school you can use this new talent to start a meth lab in your house 👍:laugh:
