So i'm planning on taking my DAT's at the end of 2012. I also want to apply to the SMDEP, but it's 6 weeks in the summer, and i don't know if its going to really prepare me for the DAT. I know its a really helpful program, but instead i could be using that time to study. Should I still do SMDEP or the Gateway to Dentistry program from UMDNJ which is only 2 weeks. Please give me your opinions.
 
i did smdep and no it doesn't prepare u for the DAT, but u do take some upper division science classes which might help if you actually study for them.
