I am currently applying this cycle with a 3.2 sGPA and a 3.3 cGPA and a 29MCAT, I know my chances am slim to getting into an MD program right now but after next year if I get all A's I will be at a 3.58 cGPA and a 3.48 sGPA. What are my chances at any SMP programs? Preferably UC's program because I'm a KY resident.

Thanks!

If you get those GPAs and maybe a couple more points on the MCAT, you don't need an SMP. You'd be wasting money on one.

But I think you've overestimated what one year can do to your GPA.

I think it's best to have an above average MCAT (32+) before you start an SMP, but otherwise you're fine.

Best of luck to you.
