Hello!
I'm going into my second semester senior year and have a cGPA of 3.50 and an sGPA of 3.31, with much better grades junior year and first semester senior year. If you only count my junior year and first sem senior year, my science/math GPA is a 3.73 (3 A's, 2 A-'s, 1 B). I have a 504 MCAT rn, but I am confident that I can improve it to at least 510 when I retake it in March. I would say my ECs are average and wouldn't help with my low GPA. Also, despite my improvement in the sciences, and even if I do well in the new MCAT, I still think my chances are low because of how mediocre I did in my freshman and sophomore year. However, I'm not sure my stats are low enough for an SMP, or if I should take the post-bac route. I heard post baccs are for those with slightly low GPAs, whereas SMPs are for those with way low GPAs. Which one would be a better fit for me?
Edit: Btw my main goal is to get into an MD school.
Thanks alot!
