Hello,

I have an undergrad cumulative GPA of 3.0, an undergrad science GPA of 2.5, and an old MCAT score of 27 (I am going to retake it at the end of this month). I know my numbers are not good, so my plan to get into medical school is to do a special master's program that has a strong linkage to a medical school (MD or DO), and do really well in that special masters program. I'm trying to find out which special masters programs have strong linkage, but it's been very difficult, with many conflicting answers. Does anyone know for sure which special master's programs have the best linkage? I know that some special master's programs won't let me apply because of my GPA/MCAT numbers, so please don't mention those. I've learned that Drexel, Rosalind Franklin, Eastern Virginia, Loyola, and University of Toledo may be what I'm looking for. Are there others?

Thank you!

I'd like to encourage you to review existing information in this forum about SMPs and their results. If you start with the "GPA enhancement sticky", you can then get more info by looking for the threads that discuss particular programs. I'd also encourage you to review the low GPA thread for general advice.
