Why is that Sn1 is favored with the use of bulky nucleophile??

the Nu: being bulky would cause hinderance when substitions take place.

Plzzzz someone enlighten me!!! thanks

where did u read this? Are you sure you're not mixing it up with the fact that sn1 prefers tertiary carbon?

I think that its more that SN2 is disfavored by bulky neucleophile which would make sense. But by definition in SN1 rxns the neucleophile doesnt participate in the rate law, so it shouldnt have any affect. With that, the rate law from what i understand is only an approximation.
