Here we have an SN2/E2 reaction with secondary halides and NaOMe = strong base + strong nucleophile. Chad says equal mixture of substitution/elimination products, but experimentally E2 > SN2?

stupid explanation and a trap question. What is this from? It just says choose E2 if you had to. LOL
I didn't see anything like this on Bootcamp and I don't think the real DAT will be as tricky as this.

That was a poorly written question. You should email the people at qvault and send them the question to reword.
 
I also think that this is a bad question. I think (and hope!) Chad and my orgo professor would both disagree.
