For those secondaries you have to snail mail, did you all just use a regular letter sized envelope and folded the secondaries or did you use a big manilla envelope that let you keep the secondaries straight?

priority mail. its cardboard. less likely to fold/bend en route. but im anal. big yellow envelope to avoid folding is fine.

I folded them and put them in a normal envelope unless it was too thick. I don't think they're going to care if they're folded. Plus, I used to have to open mail at work and normal envelopes are far easier than manilla envelopes, so I guess to me I'm doing what I would want if I had to open 6,000 secondary applications.

I think I might just go buy some manilla envelopes. Isn't priority mail expensive?

Of the four schools I currently have interviews scheduled at, I sent folded applications via regular mail to two of them. The other two did not receive folded mail because their applications were entirely electronic.

priority mail with delivery confirmation comes to 4.55, which is a flat rate. take out the delivery confirmation and you move down i think about 85 cents for something like that.

regular mail, regular white envelope

4.55*10 secondaries = 45.50

.39*10 secondaries = 3.90

Thats too big of a difference to me. I'd rather go with the normal mail...but then I'm a broke ass cheapskate.

Ya but for nervous wrecks like me, maybe getting a delivery confirmation and subsequent peace of mind is worth the extra 40 bucks...
Although delivery confirmation doesn't require them to sign does it? Because the last thing I'd want to do is inconvenience the adcoms.

I used big manilla envelope. I also sent it priority with delivery confirmation just in case.

regular white envelope. Folded the app like a crane so that they would appreciate how diverse and interesting I am.

regular white envelope 1 stamp if it was short 2 if it was more than 3 pages or had something heavy like a picture.

Just sent them off. Priority mail was 4.05 and delivery confirmation was .50. Thought I'd let you know.
