Do any students here (w/o children) receive/qualify for SNAP benefits? If so, what state are you in? Do they consider your loans as income? Is there a max amount you can have in your bank accounts to qualify?
This, but I’ve never heard of vet students getting SNAP benefits so I kind of doubt it. Otherwise why wouldn’t every full time student be on it?That would be a better question for your state’s SNAP office. They are the ones who would be determining eligibility and whether your loans would count as income.

There may be other snags, but would be worth looking into.So federal financial assistance doesn’t count as income, however there are a lot more qualifiers to be considered that most vet students aren’t going to meet (aside from having kids).
