SNPhA vs. IPhO

Hello,

I am an incoming pharmacy student and I was interested to see whether joining SNPhA (Student National Pharmaceutical Association) or IPhO (Industry Pharmacists Association) would be a better decision? I really enjoy leadership, industrial pharmacy and interacting with diverse groups of people. Any advice regarding these organizations would be helpful.

Neither. You're better off dropping out and getting a PhD in a pharmaceutical-related field if your goal is industry.

I would say both, but then I was a joiner. I joined anything and everything in college. But do it because you enjoy joining, and for the socialization. Don't expect that it will help you in future career goals, because more than likely it won't.
