So I get this email today:

Hi,

Our newest service, Notehall, would like to offer you a Note Taker position at Cameron University.

The job is a flexible semester long position. Depending on the class for which you take notes you can earn up to $450. Just REPLY with "I'm Interested" and we will call you shortly.

Note Taker responsibilities include:
  • Taking notes for a class in which you are currently enrolled
  • Uploading lecture notes once a week
  • Creating study guides for exams
Being a Note Taker means making money just being a good student!

Feel free to email or call me at the number below if you have any questions.
Thank you!

It's a legit email from Chegg on behalve of their newly aquired site notehall. I'm debating doing it, just wondered what everyone thought about this.

They basicly buy notes from people and put them on the web and then charge other people to look at them.

I did this. Not through Chegg but on a site called Notehall.com (which I think is what they're advertising). It is legit, I did not make $450 that's overexaggerating a bit (though you could if you advertise well). It's a bit time consuming but a good way to study since it obliges you to make study guides and such.

The downside was I had one professor who did not appreciate my taking notes and selling them for some reason. But I worked it out with him. So just make sure you double check with them.

So yeah, it's not a scam. It's not terrible, I did it for a few months... It was /kinda/ worth it.
