So Frustrated with Verbal

I was wondering if anyone else on this forum feels the same way I do about verbal. I bought EK 101 a month and a half ago and I've taken two tests a week, and I seen almost ZERO improvement. I just dont get it. I have gotten 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 9, 8, 8. After every test I went over everything, especially what I got wrong. I bought EK verbal and utilized his strategies, especially about focusing on the main idea. The only real positive thing has been that for the first few tests I finished 10 min late, but at about test #4 I've started finishing early. I started seeing some nines and then went back down. Today I got an 8 on the last exam and I just wanted to break something, seriously, im so tired of being stagnant.

On AAMC's, I've gotten three 9's and one 10. I'm praying for a 10 on the real thing.

Anyone else feel as bummed as I do?

YES! I've been scoring 8-9's on EK's 101 (up from my 6's from last year), and 8's on every single AAMC. I got a 9 on EK 1-g though...I dunno. I think the nerves really get to me w/this section b/c I know it's my weakest. When I go over my answers too, or redo the passage in a more relaxed mode, I know that I have the potential to do much better. I think I just make it harder than it is...especially those 10Q passages...geez.

I know someone who got the highest score in Verbal on the real thing when that was their weakest section while practicing though, so I guess we just need to be confident in our skills when it comes to test day.

I can't seem to get over a 9 on verbal...I've done 5 EK101 tests, AAMC 3, 5, 6, 7,....and most often get 9's. Most of the time I'm one or two questions away from the 10.

Well 9 is better than when I started off with 6s, but I'm getting really worried here! Don't know if I can improve by saturday...I'm just gonna do more EK101 tests.
