If you have been accepted, I must ask the question: how are you grades doing now? Anyone else have a drop from straight A's to mostly B's and perhaps a stray C? Just want to make sure I'm not alone 😳

I would be getting bad grades in a normal pre-med semester. But I am only taking 12 credits (including Photography I, Fly-fishing, and a 200-level History class).

The only thing that I really do is edit my senior research.

i stopped taking classes back in december...it's been sweet. 😀

I seem to be doing really well. It's like I have all the answers on test day... and on top of that I know exactly where the teacher is coming from... everyone else in the classroom is trying to keep up with me... they are constantly asking questions and learning mostly from me... Oh the joys of being a high school chemistry teacher.

Actually, it's pretty funny. I'm in, but I've gotten 4.0s the last two quarters (which has boosted my GPA slightly) carrying 20+ units and I think it's because I don't care anymore. I don't spend as much time studying, so when I do study, I'm much more relaxed and I retain more info. I'm only taking 12 units for this (my last) quarter, so hopefully the trend will continue. But, I wouldn't worry about being alone with the drop in grades. Most of my friends who have been accepted have (pretty much) stopped going to class/doing homework and their grades have dropped pretty badly (and it's not like med schools will kick you out unless you start getting D's/F's).

graduated early in mid march! altho waitlists make things not as easy as the original plan was supposed to be

For some reason I can't explain I'm getting grades that are stronger than ever....4.0 last fall with 18 credits, and so far this semester the trend continues....and no, I'm not taking easy classes. Who would have thought? :meanie:

Well I graduated last year, but my work habits have definitely been going down the ****ter as my mind moves farther away from here and closer to being in LA.

Yeah, I've carried a 4.0 all through college, and I have A's in all of my classes at this particular moment...

buuuut I have 4 exams this week and my senior thesis is due, and I really feel like doing jack s**t until I get to Philly next fall... I am currently studying for a biochem exam that I think I am going to do rather poorly on. As long as I pull through with B's I think everything will be peachy. That could be a struggle though.

yes i've definitely have grade drops because i just don't care anymore.

I'm getting 3 As and a high C... I'm hoping I can turn that C into a B, but if not I don't think my acceptance will be revoked and that's the important thing 😀

Word. Graduating a semester early rules.

As for "classes," I'm taking racquetball and chamber singers, P/F, as a non-degree seeker. I'm passing.

😀

Amen to that. Finished early and have been relaxing since. The good life before hell breaks loose in August.

Yea my senior year grades are just going down. I've got senioritis bad this semester. It looks like 2 A's and 2 B's.

It just seems to get worse and worse as the last couple weeks draw to a close.
My last GE is art history, and I've pretty much stopped going since the midterm. Every time I went I couldn't pay attention. All I could think of was "You just pulled that right out of your ass. They actually pay your for this. How the hell is this even a major. Oh wow another madonna and child. How F'in original." I think all of this pent up rage from the last 4 years is getting released.

yeah i can't explain it either because I've gotten a 4.0 for every quarter since i turned in my application, and i knew i had an acceptance back in october. i still took heavy courseload unit-wise, but the upper div bio, psych and other classes were generally easier and more interesting than ochem and biochem so I guess that's why? this quarter i'm only taking 2 classes though!!!

My grades in the crapper this semester. I think it's the workload. Just got one of my exam back, and it's pretty icky. As long as I don't screw up my finals, I should get through all classes with at least a B and perhaps a 3.3-3.5. I think if I dip any lower, it may raise some eyebrows (don't they start looking at you funny for going below a 3.0?).
