Many students that graduated with my cohort are having trouble finding jobs. I'm interested to know how others here are faring and what the level of income has been for you post-grad.

I'd like to run a poll with more depth, but this is a bit limited by the board's polling function.

Cheers,

I can't answer the question because I went on to a PhD program but I know that friends in my cohort are making in the 40-60k range, with most really in the 50-60 range. I do have a few friends that took CSTE fellowships and make less (high 30's, but they have set income limits). I guess a lot of people in my cohort got lucky? I only know of one person that is really struggling with finding something. Many had stuff lined up before graduation or signed a contract within 30-60 days after graduation. Maybe it's a location thing?

Some boat, so I was making ~$30k as a grad student.

I graduated with my MPH a little over a year ago and make right at $60,000. I work for that big federal agency headquartered in Atlanta. 😉 When I first graduated I made $49,500 as an ORISE fellow, one of the main hiring mechanisms for new grads at CDC.

Approximately $30k in a research lab.

MPH (graduated spring 2012) in molecular epidemiology and hired by my mentor. Fun stuff, but currently applying to doctoral programs (starting fall 2013) so I took the first thing I saw that was interesting and didnt care too much to try and see what my market value was.
