So how's residency?

New PGY-2's...so how is residency going so far?

For me it's fun so far, but hard work. Home call is pretty brutal I gotta say. TONS of reading to do, and not enough time to do it.

How are you all holding up?

Coming from a PGY3 perspective, taking call starting day one has gotta suck, we got about a month before we started.

On a side note, intern in-house call was bad granted, but nothing is worse than coming home at 2am, all you can think about is getting a few hours of sleep, you are just pulling into your driveway when you get another page. "yeah we got a bad eyelid laceration and I was told that was your thing". THe icing is always when you realize they were in their ED room around 9pm.

hang in there ophtho interns, it gets better, trust me (call doesn't though)
