I was reading on the aadsas application that there is an advisor release... does that mean that the advisor can see all the schools that I apply to? I only ask because I am thinking of not applying to my state school (which I attend) and do not want my advisor to know - but the release seems to let them know what schools I apply to and which one I matriculate in...if anyone can help, I would appreciate it...

...I have a committee letter btw

Its your decision where you want to go. Why not become an adult and tell them you don't want to go to the state school?

Not to be rude, but that doesn't answer my question - I do appreciate the advice though.

Well i'm a new applicant myself, so don't know anything about that. Just thought being up front would take out some of the stress of the application process.

Let's talk worst-case-scenario for a minute: what would your advisor do if s/he knew you weren't going to apply to the state school?

You mentioned that you have a committee letter. Do you fear that the advisor will sabotage your letter out of anger because you chose not to apply to the state school?

Again incisor, I'm not asking so much for the repercussions, just simply a question of do they see all the schools I apply to/do not apply to - and if so, when do they see that...
