In between alternating your freakouts between pending decisions and finals, why not take a break to watch this satirical musical that was put on at my college about a bunch of students obsessed with getting into medical school (sound familiar)?
It was written for a Quebec audience (1000 people came, proceeds went to the hospital I volunteer at), and chronicles a really competitive CEGEP (Grade 12-13) full of students who are neurotic about getting into McGill's 5-year guaranteed admit BA/MD program.
The moral of the play is that medicine is about compassion and cooperation, not competition. We must never lose sight of that!
Prepare to revel in all the premed types you recognize in this play.
Please note that R-Score is about equivalent to MCAT in terms of what's considered "good". Both are graded on the same kind of curve. R-Score is like GPA but how it compares to the rest of your program, and it's "fixed" at an average R-Score of 25. So when you hear talk of R-Score, think of MCAT. (McGill is the best medical school in Canada so it has extremely high admissions standards - a 31 doesn't cut it, a 33 might)
There are 14 parts. Be sure to watch them in order:
