So this semester my grades were:

Physics I (5cr): B
Organic II (3cr): B
Organic Lab (2cr): A
Calc II (4cr): A-

I don't really feel like any of these grades are bad... but the semester GPA turned out not so great (3.34), and it's a huge downward trend (freshman year my cGPA was 3.77). I just don't know what to think, I mean really physics is what brought things down since it was 5 credit hours and I really struggled in it all semester, which didn't make organic II any easier. It sucks though, because I really understand all the material and I pulled off some miracles in my finals to raise some of those grades.

Do you think I will be questioned about this semester by adcoms (this is my first semester of sophomore year)? Or, what do you guys even think about this semester?

you took some hard classes and still got A;s and B;s. you are doing better in organic chem than a lot of people. i think this is an ego trip. btw why isnt your orgo lab and orgo leture averaged for ust one grade like the physics? a

You're fine, I did similarly my 1st semester sophomore year and nobody brought it up in any of my interviews so far.

I'd say you need to knock out the rest of your college career. This semester alone isn't going to hurt you but if you have a streak of semesters like this, they could hurt you cumulatively. Overall, I'm not sure that I'd call your schedule hard, really. Is this all you took or were these just your BCPM classes? If this was your entire courseload, it's sorta light; however, if you had another class on top of this, then I totally understand getting Bs in a couple of those classes.

downward trends rule! its like youre SLIDING into med skool!

Yeah, this was all I took, but I wish I had taken another buffer class to raise my semester GPA. I just felt like this would be a pretty challenging course load for me and I didn't want to have to focus on another class as well. I agree that this has definitely got to be the only semester like this though.

rctriplefresh5: At my school the organic lab and organic lecture are just two separate classes.

dont let what that other dude said get to you. that semester would kill me. i just took a semester with gen chem 1, gen bio 2, and trig and i go overwhelmed*although thats just my personality lol..i was just burned out this semester and didnt study or do hw lol)
but i am taking orgo 1, calc 1 and orgo 2 all in the summer and i consider that a challenging schedule. Remember you need to do what is best for you to get into medical school. we are not all geniuses who can handle 30 hard classes a semester and still get A's./ remember the most important thing is your gpa, not your course load. congrats on getting an A- in calc 2 thats pretty badass, although an A would have been even more impressive to adcoms obviiously.

the one plus about a downward trend is that you can make it go back up, and chalk it up to a burn out semester.

I'd strongly suggest reconsidering that, esp. if your trig & chem schedule was difficult for you this semester (nothing wrong w/ that, but summers are short and your proposed summer schedule would be asking for trouble for almost anyone; I know I wouldn't try that).

well ialso took gen bio 2 this semester, but it was only hard foor me cause i didnt study. i still got a's and b's. besides, i like summer courses. i usually procrastinate in regular courses, and usually psych myself out, and get burnt out. for instance the general chemistry course i had maintained an A this whole semester. 2/3 of our exams, i had received the highest score on. i was so burnt out at this point(which is funny since i was burnt out at the start) that i didnt study for todays final until 2 am the morning before lol. im pretty sure i got no higher than a C on this final..so i pretty much lost the A.but im just worried about gen chem 2 and pre calc next semester ha.whats hard for me, is i had a verrrry poor high school education, and nevertook classes like biology, chemistry, or math higher than algebras.

You're going to have to start churning out straight A's buddy. If a semester is overwhelming, you'll have to adapt regardless. Not trying to discourage you, but you need to get your academic act together and try twice as hard next semester.
