I see in posts or breakdowns that the actual test isn't specific in conceptual questions but really broad and general. I mostly hear it when people are comparing it to destroyer, datQvault, or ts but I'm not really clear on what "broad" and "general" questions are.

Are you guys (people who've actually taken the DAT) talking about questions like "What did Mendel's hypothesis prove?" or "Adding a solute to water will do what to the boiling point?"

Or is it more along the lines of "The Taiga is located south of the ____ and is known to have this type of climate." or "In the inflammatory response these cells release histamine." The latter questions don't seem extremely specific and most of the prep material covers stuff that kind of detail.

Do they have a lot of "E: None of the Above" or "D: Two of the Above" type of questions?

What does general/not too specific mean?

I took mine on the 20th, I think that the bio section especially was broad, but it has to be. There were some questions about genetics, one about "which does not have a notochord during development?"

Biology itself is broad, the whole test could be on biology and still not adequately cover it. The main point is to try to know the big picture, about everything.

As far as chem, there are not as many long calculations. Most are just setting up the solution.

I agree.

For GChem and OChem, I think you will able to manage 20+ if you do

Destryoer 2 times + Chad's video + Chad's quizzes.

However, for the bio section, even though I invested the most time for

preparing bio section, I encountered with problems that I never saw before.
