When do dental schools (generally and specifically) start reviewing files and sending out interview notifications?

I know that submitting before July is more or less "early"...

add on ~2 months processing through AADSAS to reach schools...

and then lets say about ~1 month at schools (or more?)

that would roughly leave us at around mid/late September for the early interview invites. Does that sound about right?

can someone shed some light on this?

if your reading this sentence then you should comment

always wanted to do that lol. but seriously, I really want to know!

Each school has its own timeline on when they start reviewing, and how long it may take. From my experience, applicants from the first few waves can start hearing as early as late July (for example, Case Western sent out interview invites last week of July last year), all the way through August and September. And sometimes, even if you are in the earlier waves, you won't hear back from schools until months after they send out their first invites. However, to give you a take home answer, I would say expect invites August through September.

SDN is a great resource for this - typically as soon as applicants receive invites they post on here. While it can be stressful if you haven't gotten anything, it does allow you to monitor your application by comparison.

Hope this helps! 🙂

Thats what I thought, around Septemberish.

Is there a way those who got Dec 1 acceptances could post the latest time they got an interview offer...that would be just awesome!!!
