so.. why is UBC so expensive?

i tried doing a search on this topic but didnt find anything, so here goes.

why is the cost fo dental school so expensive at UBC? wasnt the allure of a canadian dental school its cheap tuition? i see toronto with something like 26k$/ year, mcgill with something less. UBC is charging 45+k$/ year???? what is this 20k$ "clinic fee" that students have to pay?

I thought it was cheap for canadian residents ONLY, also make note if the Dollar total are US dollars or Canadian Dollars.

ubc is pretty expensive..and a lot has to do with the clinical fees that students have to pay.

I go to UBC and live 5 min. away from it. UBC just finished buliting a new clinic this. It looks great! I guess that's where the money goes!

True enough but the tuition was high before they even started construction of the new facility. It would be sweet to go to Manitoba, I think tuition for the 4 years is around $85k.

T.T i go to UBC as well ( canadian ) but the tuition is going to drive me out of my hometown. i admit the school looks really nice though
