Just curious if I need to do a thank you card or will an e-mail suffice?

Definately do the card or a nice letter. I would bypass the e-mail 😉

I think email is fine and very acceptable in the professional world. I've sent thank you emails after every interview I've been too, and have even gotten several very nice responses.

I have friends who are intervieing for investment banking/consulting positions, where professionalism and these sorts of things matter to a much greater extent, and they say that email thank you are perfectly fine.
