Good job on raising your MCAT! How did you do it...study more, better test?? 24 is a good score, I know many people that have gotten with that. Make sure you have a decent GPA, though.
Taus--When you say ~3.5, do you mean overall or science?
Nothing is set in stone, but when your MCAT is borderline acceptable, you need your GPA to offset it and make you stand out. So whether its great in science or overall, science is always nice to have higher, but in the end its the combination of all the factors of the application that make or break you.
Thank you all for your response I have applied to roughly 11 schools. NYCOM, WVCOM, Kirksville, PCOM, PCOM_GA (i live in Ga), Lake erie both camp, Kansas City, Des Moines, Nova. i think that is it. I think al these schools average aroung 24-25. And my GPA is 3.6 overall and 3.4 science.
ALSO- some DO programs( don't ask me which) will take the best score from each section as a best compound score giving you 8/8/10=26 a very respectable score
