hey everyone, i have a question - is it true that all schools have to give you a decision by may 15? and can you only hold one spot after may 15?

**one of my friends got into a medschool that required her to write a letter saying that she accepts the spot. i thought this was a tad stupid, since when i got into a different school, all i had to do was check a box. i told her she should send in a letter like this to see what they say:

"Dear Admissions Committee,
Thanks for accepting me at Booyakah Medical School. Jeepers, you guys are so cool! I was really afraid I wasn't going to get in, considering all that crack I smoked freshman year. Booyakah rules! Raise the roof!

P.S. When do I get to see organs and stuff?"

Med schools do not have to tell you anything by any dtae. You, however, have to give away all of your acceptances except for one by May 15th, or the school can threaten to take your acceptance away.
