I finally finished indexing my entire digital slide collection. It has over 100 slides, mostly classic or rare bone/soft tissue and dermpath cases, but there are some really bizarre surg path gems in there too (gonadoblastoma in ovotestis in true hermaphrodite, gliomatosis peritonei, pigmented fungal abscess in the brain, etc). Now that I can easily see what is there, I will start adding cases to fill in the gaps. My goal is to eventually have all of the major soft tissue and bone pathology entities available as digital slides. Feel free to use screen capture images (the quality is excellent with that method, by the way) from these slides for presentations, papers, book chapters, etc (if you do use an image, though, a “case courtesy of Jerad M. Gardner, MD” mention would be greatly appreciated!).

Nice collection! I was going to do the same thing with my collection of Unsat pap smears, but this seems like a better use of internets.

Thanks for the feedback. That is exactly why I focus on soft tissue with my digital collection. I love both derm and soft tissue, but it's much harder to find good soft tissue study sets. So I decided to make one that everyone can use and learn from.

Thanx! For small medical schools we often find it difficult to supplement our images....I like to have students actually use digital slides so they get the experience of actually searching for the important features. Would I use the same disclaimer when posting?

You are welcome to share the slide links with your students and do not need any disclaimer as far as I am concerned. I am happy they can get use from them!
