Solid Score?

Just wondering what you all think about my chances of getting into a top tier school are with 11V 10 PS 10 BS. I've seen all the stats and realize that it's all about the full package, but will this score prevent me from getting an interview at say UCSF?

It will hurt you without a doubt. However, whether you have a chance or not at top tier schools will depend on how strong the rest of your app is.

Average first-year students entering in 2006. MCAT scores of 10.4 on VR, 11.4 on PS, and 11.6 on BS. So I would say that your score is above their minimum cutoff.

What do your GPA, volunteer effort and LORs look like?
These weigh just as heavily I would assume.

At least for UCSF, I know several people this cycle with 35+ MCATs, high gpas, great ECs/LORs/personalities who got rejected pre-interview....and they're all Cali residents, too. Just a small sample, but...
