Hey everyone,
Sorry for yet another one of these threads but I want to make sure Im spending the little cash I have to apply to schools I have a shot at. Ive looked at the ADEA data from last years entering class but more advice/insider knowledge would be awesome! I have already submitted my application, had the GPA verified, and now just waiting on the DAT scores to upload which I took yesterday.

22AA
19 QR / 20 Bio / 23 GC / 23OC /20 PAT / 26 RC

BCP GPA 3.55
sGPA 3.62
tGPA 3.69
Worked in college/ over summer, research experience for a semester (70 hrs), was a TA for biology, Academic Chair for my fraternity (got our gpa from lowest in school to 2nd overall). 100 hrs shadowing a general dentist. Also first generation America and first to complete a college degree (MCB)
Applied Already to - UCLA, Midestern (AZ)
Thinking of applying to- UCSF, USC, UoPacific, Western Uni, Boulder, Michigan, NYU, UPenn, Oregon

Thoughts? Chances?

Im hesitant to apply to UConn because it looks like they only take such a small number of kids each year (like 30-40 if I recall).

Where are you a resident? Also, University of Colorado is located in Denver (Aurora) not Boulder fyi. I would suggest adding more private schools.

Sorry, Im a CA resident. And meant Auora, CO not Boulder. Which privates?

Look into places like Creighton, Tufts, NYU, Marquette, Case Western, Boston, etc. They may be better suited for you than Michigan or other state schools.

Case Western.

UConn is a strange beast. However, if you're wanting to go into OMFS, you should definitely apply.

So maybe add Uconn and/or Tufts, drop Oregon?

Add UConn. If you get in, it'll be the best choice out of all the dental schools in the country even Harvard. Try to find some schools that can give you residency after your first year.

Think Ill get some interviews then with this list? Like 5-6/11?

@ghost11 I think its because it is great for being cheap (after first year you pay instate tuition) and the education is supposed to be Harvard level. I just dont want to deal with med school curriculum for the first 2 years when its not necessary.
