Some advice

I posted this in the pcat forum but no one had anything to say, so here goes
I have been accepted to Mercer University, and I am happy with that. Mercer seems like a great place, but then i got in interview at UNC chapel Hill, I went to the interview and am awaiting a reponse. However, in the meantime I retook my pcat (don't ask why) because I wasn't sure if my scores were competative. Anyway, I went down from a 78 to a 60 Ouch.
I have contacted both UNC and UF (Florida resident why not) and both said on their website that they only look at the highest composite, but the admissions people told me they look at both. I don't know what to think right now, Should I kiss both places goodbye?

I think UF will look at both score, but only consider your highest score.
UNC is one of the top pharmacy schools, they will surely look at both. I am not sure they will average both score, or not.

I would say go to those interviews with the mindset that you never re-took. If it comes up (which I doubt it will) have a solid explanation for it. I think at this point you are past the stage of scores and grades, they just want to get to know you as an individual so really focus on that. Good luck.

Agreed, I don't know about UNC. But, UF is a closed file interview, so they don't have any information about you. Your interviewers won't have your pcat scores.

But i wonder if it will affect UNC decision to accept me. I interviewed on the 14th and am awaiting the decision? Do you think they will reject because of this new pcat score?

Look on the bright side you are already in MERCER! 😀
To tell you the truth...if I get into Mercer and UNC it will be a hard pick for me mainly b/c Mercer offers a MBA/PharmD and UNC does not. (I wish they did! 🙁)

absolutely right, what ever will be will be, i can't do anything about it now
