Howdy SDN! I am nearly ready to submit my TMDSAS and AADSAS applications and trying to finalize my school list. Money is a huge concern for me, both with the cost of applying, interviews and school itself. I believe I have an application that should allow me to be a bit selective but I could be off base here.

Academically I'm solid, with a bcpGPA 4.0; cGPA 3.95 I earned my BM/MM in music performance, currently I am a post-bacc in Chemistry. I will not finish this degree (if things go to plan). I am a Texas resident and URM. I have adequate shadowing hours (over 100) and good ECs from dentistry and music. My LORs should be fine. I have some interesting research experience in one of the nation's only music and medicine programs. Hmm, everything's set....except the DAT, as I have not taken it! I will in just under 5 weeks, so my application won't be complete until late July. I am operating under the assumption that I score a 20 on this test, though obviously I am aiming much higher. I'm posing this hypothetical because I need to have things in order before the test. There's no telling how things will actually go! 👍

DAT of 20 or above:
Baylor, Houston, SA
Oklahoma
Creighton
Meharry
UDM

I have a strong desire to stay in the south/southwest, but there's only so much one can do. UDM is there because I feel there is strong scholarship potential for me if I score well. Oklahoma because I've spent most of my life living there and have a strong connection. Should I apply a bit more broadly, or is this an okay first set to submit on and if need be I can expand based on a lower DAT score?

OU will take you in a heartbeat w/ DAT of 20+....👍

I see...the perfect list. -.-

Any other thoughts?
