Hi all,

I have a few questions that I have spent some time looking around for and have not found a definitive response.

First, if not all LOEs are sent in, will schools still send out interview invitations?

Second, if my AMCAS is still not verified, is there any point in submitting secondaries?

Thank you all in advance!

i'm not sure about school specific policies but in general you need to have all required LOEs in before schools start reviewing. if perhaps you indicate on your amcas that you have additional letters, i'm not sure whether med schools will review your file until those extra letters are in or if they'll go ahead and start reviewing once you have required ones.

i also don't think for most schools you even get secondaries until verification. definitely pre-write though, and submit as soon as you can.

I'm in a situation where most of my secondaries are in, but I am waiting on my committee letter still 🙂rage🙂. The only schools so far that I have applied to that look at your secondary w/out the LOR is Louisville and Indiana (which doesn't give you a secondary/ask for LOR unless you are interviewing.) I'm super happy about Louisville though since I love it there. For them, I need to have it in by the time I interview.

on this note, once my school actually sends AMCAS my committee letter, will it be automatically reflected on my AMCAS status under the letter receipt status? or will it take longer (and if so, roughly how long?)

and after it gets processed by AMCAS, do the letters automatically get transmitted to the schools i applied to? or does that vary by school (and if so, roughly how long will that take)?
