Maybe have already been answered but...

How do you list the number of hours for jobs that you are currently working in? (I.E. I work part time at a small animal day clinic since Jan and will continue working there in the forseeable future, what do i put in the hours box on the VMCAS)

I have been co-author on two published articles in peer-reviewed journals - where should I list/emphasize this?

Took the GRE today, um that was fun :meanie:... I had a 300 (yes 3 0 0) point difference between math and verbal (I am very strong in math, and apparently illiterate 😕).

You list the number of hours that have HAVE ALREADY worked. Future hours are not to be counted but I assume when you write the dates and you use 'present' as one of the dates, the ad coms will likely assume that the job will continue into the future. Also, you can can write that in the description of the duties if you really want to.

For the papers...you can include it in the description of responsibilities in the biomedical research experience hours section. If it won't fit there, there is also a section for 'extras' and you can include it there. Don't worry about it getting lost in the clutter of your application- ad coms read everything.

If you have any specific questions last minute, instead of waiting for answers on here, you can always call VMCAS and they are VERY nice and always willing to help!

Hope this helps you!

According to the application workshop CSU put on this year, you are supposed to 'project' your hours through 12/31/08 ONLY if you have steady experience to report (ie, she said if you just started working at a clinic and will be there some#of hrs/week from now on...you can predict those hours through 12/31...but you cant predict sporadic hours like shadowing...etc). This is just what CSU said to do, so I cant speak for any other schools. Hope it helps!
