First and foremost, I'm ecstatic for the upcoming semester because I'm finally into ochem. Ochem may not be the most exciting subject, but it is another chance for me to improve on my chemistry.
Next, after talking with my mom about my future plans, it was inevitable to come across the "if I fail" part. I told her that I would try and pursue physicians assistant if I don't get accepted into med school in texas. What I really want to do if I end up in that scenario is to just brush up on my prereqs, take the mcat again, do some more EC's and just keep trying. For me that's the easy way; to keep trying and trying.
Or should I just be a nurse or PA and then go back and reapply for med school when I'm ready?
One thing I know for sure is that I don't mind being a little older (25-30) and just getting in to med school. Sure I wouldn't get to say that I got in right after undergrad, but if not giving up counts as anything, then perhaps something is better than nothing.
For now, I just want to do my best in and out of the classroom and go from there. ...just wanted to get this off my chest and get some feedback.
