omg... HUS.. only encountered that in real life ONCE and heard about it, didn't actually see it.. cannot believe that is asked unreal.. the other ones are fair game I suppose.

I took Step 3 recently and the CCS cases that I had included:

- DKA
- UTI
- manic episode
- hep A
- splenic laceration as a result of MVA
- Down syndrome in a newborn
- MRSA bacteremia
- vertebral fracture in an old lady

Thanks for your psot Goody... totally saved my life as I hda many similar cases during my exam. I got pregnancy presenting as UTI, child abuse presenting as decreased LOC (I made the mistake thinking it's meningitis and started abx even though the child had no fever and CT head result still pending, but D/Ced abx when I got CT back... still did well on the CCS part though so probably better safe than sorry in that scenario), ruptured AAA, essential HTN, colon ca with rectal bleed, depression, morphine overdose, unstable angina, DKA
