My gpa is around a 3.3-3.4, I am a NYC resident and don't take my DAT until August. I am thinking of applying to 20 schools. Please let me know if this is a good list and if I should add/remove any.
NYU, SUNY Buffalo, Midwestern(Arizona), Midwestern (Illinois), USC, Western, UCONN, LECOM, Louisville, Tufts, Maryland, UNE, Mercy, Rutgers, UNLV, Case, Temple, UPITT, Roseman, VCU. Thank you!

i wouldnt apply to all 20. probably take out 3 or so that you know you wouldnt want to go to. its just too much $ (unless if you dont care)

Hard to say without seeing your DAT. Since you're probably submitting prior to the test, I'd say 20 isn't a ridiculous number. Better too many schools than too few. Also looks like a well-researched list -- none of your schools stand out as poor choices.

Right now, apply to your top 5-10. Add others (as needed) once you see your DAT scores.

Schools aren't going to look at your app until your DAT scores are in, so there's no reason to add them all right now. You might not need to spend quite that much money on schools, but we can't tell yet.

Question.. I want to send my application in before the end of June, but I don't take my DAT until the week after (July 3rd). I was originally going to apply to all 14 possible schools I was considering, but you're saying that I will be able to still apply to more schools later after taking my DAT? If so I would only apply to my top 10 now and then add the other 4 later, if necessary. I just thought everything, including school lists, were finalized after the submission of the primary app? Sorry if this question had been answered before, I haven't seen it anywhere else.

You can add more schools at ANY point. 😀

Thanks guy! I also had no idea I could add more schools later on. Looks like I am just going to add my top 5-10 right now.

As stated above, you can add more schools at any time. Just remember to keep an eye on each given school's deadline. After adding a school, it may look like a few days are needed to process (mail-out date...), but your digital file is typically immediately made available to your selected school. Adding schools later shouldn't slow you down at all!

Is there any pro to adding say 5 schools to just adding 1 to get the application processed?

I will definitely consider Stony Brook, given that you're NYS resident. Good luck on your DAT!

I honestly cannot add stoney because I will not have time to take calculus and biochem.

Some people only apply to one before they know their DAT scores. That way, their GPA can be verified ahead of time.

Ok, great. Thank you 🙂
