What is the purpose of AADSAS? I'm paying all of this extra money for my application to be sent after like 5 weeks. Then the schools are going to charge me applications fees on top of what I paid to ADEA. Then when I call to ADEA, it is ALWAYS busy and they take forever to get back with you via e-mail. I mean where is the convenience?

It wasn't intended to make things easier on us. I was intended to make things easier on the dental schools!!!

I know it sucks, BUT...

at least there's ONE application (aside from secondaries). When I was applying to grad schools (8 of them), each school had a different application form, different evaluation letter forms, had to be sent a transcript from each school (had to order 8 copies of each), and each had a slightly different question for the "statement of purpose" (same as personal statement). 6 of the 8 apps had to be hand-typed (with a real typewriter) and had no electronic version available (this was a few yrs ago, though, so maybe it's better now).

Still must suck not to be able to reach anyone by phone at AADSAS; they should do at least that much. I've gotta give kudos to TMDSAS because their staff has always been friendly and helpful. Maybe everyone should just move to Texas! 😀
