has anyone taken courses at the Sandiego State University informal post bac?
are informal programs like this seen as much worse than formal programs when applying to dental school?

I just graduated with a finance degree from Umass amherst. I havn't taken any science courses and am interested in a post bacc for pre dental. I have a finance gpa of 3.4 and an overall of 3.12.

Does anyone think i could get into a formal program like NYU or columbia with my gpa?

People don't respond to a clear case of "lack of research". So in essence, you are asking the wrong questions.

Your title sucks. If you are asking a question to a very specific group of people use a specific title. When you need advice from San Diego State people put "San Diego State" in your title or else those people will most likely never find your post. General titles are only for general questions.

And researching on your own a bit is good, basically you need 2 years of intense sciences at a 4 year university to have a shot. I don't think it matters too much if it's formal or not you just need to do well.
