Everybody's been so stressed lately with interviews, rejections, etc., that I thought I'd lighten the load by asking what is one good thing that has happened to everyone in the past week that is NOT pre-med or application-related?

I'll start:

Today in my positive psychology class we discussed the topic of pleasure, and the professor brought in a bunch of different types of chocolate for all of us to taste/savor. It was sweet. 😀

I hope everyone has a good week!

It is nice to see an optimist. As a pre-med things were a lot more optimistic. Once in medical school, I wonder how optimistic you will be? One good thing about my school is the grading system honors, pass, and fail. Passing is a 70. The bad thing is, that you will be studying harder than any other time in your life, just to get a C.

I would say a good thing that happened today was the Heroes season premiere! I love that show 😉

Oh...and another good thing was Michigan's win over Penn State 👍

A girl from work said she would go out with me and have dinner. Good times 🙂.

*high five*

BTW you go to TN Tech? I have a really good friend that I graduated with that attends there. His name is Alex Higgins. Heard of him? ChemE Major.

I've watched like 5 new episodes of Scrubs this week. It can't get any better lol.

Alex Higgins.... hmmm... name sounds familiar. Cant bring a face to the name though. I spent most of everyday in the MechE building most of my junior and senior year though, lol. Im back in Knoxville now, so no more Cookeville for me, ever. Thank doG. That place can fall off the face of the earth for all I care... 😀

I would have to agree, that's probably the best thing that's happened in the last 2 days. How lame is that?

My daughter has really started walking more in the last week and my son has been singing songs and talking a lot more, although he talked a lot already. 😛

Awww that's exciting! My cousin is 28 months and still doesn't say all that much. He does everything else very well though, so I hope he's okay.

Some kids just decide to do things a little later. My son is 2.5 (30 months old) and he's had the same language explosion he did at 18 months. We always sing to him before bed and I had no idea he could actually sing the songs until last week. My daughter is 13 months old and is trying to figure out how to talk. They give me a good break from worrying at med school apps.

hmm Premiere of 'Chuck' and got a job interview tomorrow... 😀

O man the show CHUCK is hilarious, and the blonde CIA agent, hrrrrr!!!! 😀

hey gobluegirl...

Hey we're supposed to think about a good thing...not about the time when Michigan lost by 1 point to Texas... 🙁

My friend came back from his trip to Austrailia the other day, and I'm now seeing him for the first time in 8 months. I'm actually posting on SDN now from his house... I'm hopeless!

I finally got one of those car radio converter things for my Zune so now I have TONS of great music for my crazy amount of commuting!😀

I received an "Excellent job!" from my professor RE:my first grad-school project today--a presentation on dendritic spine growth and AMPA receptors😀......ooh but then I got my first speeding ticket in years on the way home.....F*ck!!😡

...and did I mention I just came from Dunkin' Donuts and after eating a Rocky Road piece of heaven, the girl gave me a Mocha Cafe on the house-- life's little pleasures.

this is great! you might have just given me the ultimate boring lecture distraction 🙂

Thanks! 👍

haha no problem! wont the lecturer notice you have earphones on? 😱

I could never do that! I laugh so much at Family Guy that the prof would be like "WTF is going on?!" Not to mention my computer is a run-down POS and the battery only lasts about 15 minutes unplugged, if that.

nah a lot of people wear headphones or even ear plugs during lecture. they can make us come to lecture but they can't make us pay attention if we'd rather spend the time studying or doing whatever.

Finished Grey's Anatomy Season 3 DVD's, and started watching DEXTER....

I recommend everyone who wants to go into pathology (Oh, God hopefully not me!...No offense..:barf:) watch the first season of DEXTER now!

You learn how to kill plus how to dissect plus how to dismember a body VERY quickly and what tools/saws to use..!!!...

new season of ER starts tonight!

They still make that show? TV sucks.

The only thing worthwhile on network TV starts with "V" and ends with "ince Young"

this is such a wonderful thread amidst all the stress-related admissions stuff... lets see.... yesterday at work i bought dunkin donuts for all my students and in turn at the end of the day they all gathered at the door and said in unison, "you are the best teacher ever"..lol..... well at least now i know i can always count on dunkin donuts...🙂

Wow I thought ER was done for, about 2 years ago...huh I remember I used to watch that show when I was still in middle school!!! Thats crazy! The last episode I saw was way back when that doctor died from like brain cancer or something and left his doctor wife widowed...Yeah a long time ago......😱

lol....yes, they still make "that show"

GREY'S ANATOMY TONIGHT😀 I'm ridiculously freaking excited!!!!

That was the second to last episode of season 8. Dr. Greene... he was always my favorite character. It was tough watching after that.

New season of ER tonight? I haven't watched it in so long... I stopped around season 11 or 12, about the same time Carter left. I think the old episodes are much better, but I'll catch the newer ones some time on DVD.

Something good? Tomorrow's Friday!

That's absurd. He is the best player in college football history, and his team this year is 2-1, with the only loss coming in a close game against the defending champs. He was rookie of the year last year, and he is putting up good numbers this year, throwing to a bunch of no-name wideouts. He is John Elway reborn.

Right now, he is as good as elway was at the same point in his development, and they are similar players with the same kinds of intangibles.

i rarely listen to the radio, usually just itunes, but today, turned on the radio in my car because i forgot my ipod, and heard a song i totally forgot about. made my day.the song was here comes the sun-beatles, if anyone was wondering

I've been listening to Richard Cheese. If you don't know who that is, he covers alternative songs in a lounge style. It makes smile on the inside.

Hey, I heard "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles today, too! Hahaha I love that song. 🙂

Something good. hhmmmm, well this week was the first week this semester that I actually felt somewhat caught up in school, so I went out with a friend for some beer on a weekday. ooooh Im livin on the edge now. 😀

Good: college football tomorrow.

Bad: the Titans have a bye this week

ahh, i gotta work during the cal-ore game...might be game of the year, at least until sc plays the winner! at least i get back in time for the sc-unworty opponent game. fight on!
