Hello,

I know many people already received interview invitation from Nova.
For me, I haven't heard anything from them.
According to AADSAS guideline, Nova requires application fee when they askes me. So, I haven't sent the money yet.

And I tried to contact them, but they never answer.

Hmmm.. something is worng, right?

Because YOU haven't heard anything from them, this means that something is wrong with THEM? I think not.

One, never trust any information regarding the school unless it is from the school itself. I haven't even looked at the AADSAS guidelines. I remember just sending the money in. I know it is hard to get through to them, but keep trying and leave messages, or you can try email.

Either way, it must be something you aren't doing or they just don't like you for whatever reason. It isn't that something is "wrong" with them.

That's just how Nova is! In fact a few schools are like that! During the whole admissions process you have to remember there are several applicants that call all day long and also they are typically involved in getting the newest D1 class going so they tend to be a little busy.

You should have sent you supplement app money in if you wanted to go to Nova or get an interview there, otherwise you wasted your money in applying there!

i got an email from them to send in the money like aadsas said, but call them anyway and ask. The email was sent about a week after they recieved prinout.

thanks all for your thoughts and information.

Being in the newest D1 class I can tell you that they indeed have their hands full with us. They are trying to get all our loans taken care of and school started about a month ago, so just remember patience is a virtue. And i can attest that the phone rings off the hook in the admissions office so if they don't answer just remember you aren't the only one they have to deal with.

Don't they require u to pay electronically through their "electronic" supplemental app?

just relax, schools are busy esp Nova who gets so many applicants than other schools. However I did get an interview invite really soon once I sent in my payment.

They interview students they feel they can recruit. They don't bother with those who are too over-qualified or well under-qualified. The over-qual thing came from the dean of admissions. If they feel you'll get in to and will go to a better school, they won't bother interviewing you. Hence why they asked what other schools you applied to. Towards the end of the interview cycle, they prefer to interview 16-17AA's over those with 20's.

Is that really true? that totally sucks. So how do you know if you fall in their range or not?

You look at your numbers and the schools you applied to. Given your 23 and 3.85, if you told them you applied to Columbia, my guess is you can expect a rejection from Nova.

Damn dude where were you like two weeks ago you could have saved me 100 bucks lol. Oh well if they do i'll pretend like i didnt want to go there anyways ....I mean who wants to go to school 30 minutes away from southbeach anyways with all of those half naked women in bikinis lol. 🙁

SEND them the MONEY!
Some schools won't even recognize that you exist until you send them the application fee. If your application is missing something, they likely won't tell you, you have to find out or confirm it yourself. DOn't wait until the last minute either. If you haven't given them money, do it soon. In a couple weeks or less, make sure they have the money and every part of the application that they'll need form you. They send out a lot of interviews and are usually really busy

If you go to the Nova website, and click on webstar, you can actually fill out the application before they send you the email.

Don't they need the number that they are given in the email to actually fill it out?

Edit: Actually in an effort to further procrastinate i checked what SMCohen said, and it is correct ignore my previous statement. See you in class tomorrow SMCohen 😛
