sonic hedgehog- ant posterior axis .

wnt-7 dorso ventral axis

hox - cranio caudal direction.

Arent atleast two of the above the same axis? Dont get this.

Ant post axis and dorso ventral - arent they the same?

In the wild and whacky world of embryology, "anterior" actually refers to the radial side, and "posterior" actually refers to the ulnar side, as in the picture below.

I found spending 5 minutes to read a little about the history (growing extra chicken digits on both sides of the hand!) to be ridiculously helpful to committing all these concepts to memory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zone_of_polarizing_activity
